GivingTuesday Fundraising Campaign

Completed for Combined Jewish Philanthropies

GivingTuesday is the largest national day of giving, and for non-profits, it's a day where your message has to stand out. We empowered the creative team to go even bigger and bolder and tapped into the voice of the Old Testament to make CJP’s fundraising call to action shine.

To capitalize on the largest national day of giving, GivingTuesday, Amanda led the creative team in developing a bold and inventive digital fundraising campaign that celebrated Jewish history with a modern twist and exceeded goals and expectations.

Campaign goals:

  • To position CJP as a top-of-mind recipient for GivingTuesday donors.

  • To reach a broader donor audience through social media channels.

  • To grow donors and dollars from the previous year’s GivingTuesday fundraising campaign.

Creative Direction:

We challenged the creative team to push the envelope, presenting the clients with a range of concepts from mild to wild. The result was an inventive campaign that married traditional illustrative styles with bright, bold colors and copy that connected the actions of our Jewish ancestors to the modern world.

The 2019 GivingTuesday campaign exceeded fundraising goals by bringing in more than 2x the number of individual donors and increasing dollars raised from the previous year by over 300%.

Deliverables

The team at CJP created a series of four Old Testament-themed visuals paired with action-based copy to appeal to a broad fundraising audience on social media. Assets also included a targeted email, homepage assets, and a designed donation page to ensure a cohesive donor journey.
