Creative Direction:

The Brook Haven Farm brand was created to reflect the spirit and energy of the Hilow family, allowing their personality to shine through and give life to their farm’s identity. The primary image is the iconic barn standing at the head of their property, which is a distinct feature of the farm and serves as an emblem of their community. The color palette was carefully chosen to establish a natural connection with nature using rich, earth-inspired colors that evoke a feeling of depth and authenticity. And their communication style is characterized by a unique personality and a touch of humor.

Amanda designed a versatile logo to serve as the foundation of Brook Haven Farm’s visual identity system, telling their brand story with each detail. It captures the farm's physical attributes and conveys a sense of warmth and hospitality central to its brand ethos.

Color Palette

The logo is complemented by a color palette developed to create a connection with the farm and its surroundings. Rich, earth-inspired colors evoke a feeling of depth and authenticity. The palette reflects the colors found on Brook Haven Farm and the Duxbury community the farm proudly represents.

Typeface and Usage

The sans-serif typefaces were chosen to reflect the boldness of the logo and provide a clear and warm reading experience with a straightforward hierarchy between messaging.

Signage and Apparel

Signage

Property signage was designed to drive awareness of the farm on location and showcase the available products on the farm stand. The substrate of the primary, permanent property sign mimics the texture of hand-carved wood, connecting to the brand’s authentic appeal. Amanda worked directly with a carefully selected sign vendor to ensure quality and accuracy in design, material, and color.

Apparel

Brook Haven Farm apparel was designed to allow family and friends of the farm to proudly display the brand in the community. Amanda developed designs for manufacturing on a highly rated promotional clothing brand to ensure comfort, quality, and accurate Brook Haven Farm brand representation.
